The Countdown Begins

Dear Person who's reading this,
I have decided to create a blog for my mission, so my mom(s) can just post my letters and pictures here as they'd like. I'll prolly end up changing blogs if one of my mom(s) is particular to a certain website, but until then... TADA!!! I've created this cute blog! For all of you who are unfamiliar with my backstory behind my decision to go on a mission I will share it with you now.

I've always wanted to go on a mission. Even when I was a little girl I wanted to go and hated the idea of waiting till I was older before I could go... the older and closer I got to 21 the longer it felt till I could finally go. I watched my guy friends all start to go... and for every person that left the more I wanted, the more I itched to be a full time missionary. After I graduated high school I decided to start praying about what I should do, I received the answer "prepare for the temple." This answer obviously confused me, not because I wasn't willing to prepare... but because the temple was still outside my reach. I was only 18. I had no romantic intentions and 3 years away from a mission. The more I prayed the more I got the same answer "prepare for the temple," after much frustration I decided to stop praying and start doing what I could. I took institute and applied myself in all those classes and activities, I read scriptures, taught lessons, took notes... but until conference I still had no idea why those 3 words were all I was receiving. Needless to say, here I am. I've been called to serve in the Little Rock, Arkansas mission until April 2015. My mission includes bits of Missouri, Tennessee, and Mississippi as well as most of Arkansas, and I am sooooooo excited to get out there and serve the Lord 24/7! Hope you enjoy the blogging...
