If you could Hie to Kolob

  This week I've gained a really great testimony of the power of hymns. This week Sister D___ has been really sick, she still is (please keep her in your prayers), and we went over and sang a hymn and there was an immediate difference in the spirit of the room. I'm so grateful to be an instrument in God's hands to bring peace and comfort to all of my brothers and sisters around me. :D

  News about investigators: T____ (Angela's friend) we just found out.... lives outside of our area... so that's a bummer, but she's totally okay with the Elders coming and is still really excited about the church! A____ and D____ (Angela's friends) are also doing well and we'll be seeing them this week and setting a new baptismal date (she missed church), K____ is a Super Star!!! She's cut down from 30 cigarettes a day to 15 in the past week and this week is cutting it down to 10, not only that but she's started talking to her boyfriend about getting married and we're just waiting for him to pop the question. She's super solid, reading, praying, regular about church... and she told us that she knows this church is true, and it doesn't matter what anyone else says. She bore her testimony in class about the word of wisdom and how it's blessed her life, and how she knows this church is true. To see the light in her... it just makes my heart want to BURST :D I'm so happy! Alma 26:16 captures perfectly how I feel :D

 Alma 26:16 Therefore, let us ^aglory, yea, we will ^bglory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his ^cmercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.

 I thank God for my ability to give my whole being and will to his work... because I've felt and continue to feel a mighty change wrought in my own heart. I know this church is true, I know that Christ lives and that he loves us. :D 

  Notes from Elder Perry: This is A NEW ERA!!! who can doubt it?! Old Testament-prep world for christ, New Testament- Christ's ministry, Book of Mormon- another testament!!! Hurrah, Hurrah, for Israel!!! D&C sections 59 and 60 are for Today!

D&C 59 summary:  1–4, The faithful Saints in Zion will be blessed; 5–8, They are to love and serve the Lord and keep His commandments; 9–19, By keeping the Lord’s day holy, the Saints are blessed temporally and spiritually; 20–24, The righteous are promised peace in this world and eternal life in the world to come.

D&C 60 summary: 1–9, The elders are to preach the gospel in the congregations of the wicked; 10–14, They should not idle away their time, nor bury their talents; 15–17, They may wash their feet as a testimony against those who reject the gospel.

Every Mormon a missionary! God called Mitt to run for President to bring the church into public attention, Use every minute to declare great tidings. 

Story of Breakfast with the Cardinal; 

Elder Perry: "Cardinal! What are you doing?! You have no organization! Get that word out there! We only represent a small percentage, but we're movers! We've got to be organized to spread the word!"

Cardinal: BIG HUG "Tom... I need to get you to the Pope!"

  We need to be sharing every moment.

  One day all of them were in the Temple when President Monson came into the room, and said "We're going to change the age for the Elders... and for the Sisters!" All in Shock and Awe! WOW!!! THIS IS THE TIME!!!!

Fast notes, running out of time!!

 We NEED to be teaching in every hour! Bishop=Busy, Every leader/calling/member NEEDS to do their part! Ward mission Leader, Elders Quorum, High Priest, Relief Society. Make sure no one is lost! 

  Internet- Our net now is so open and wide to do work. This is the age that teaches families, we will be held accountable, now is the Time for you! Let this night be a landmark in our lives. 

  The Lord will open the windows of heaven. Re-activity is an eternal experience, Conversion is an eternal experience. 

  Problem= too many investigators to fellowship. Ward council has biggest responsibility to fellowship! FOCUS ON COVENANTS NOT STUFF!! 

  FHE, Job, Find others

  Salvation- Personal, Exaltation- Family!

  Ideal situation= a family. Every individual is connected to a family, how can we make it optimal? Simple! Objectives and eternal plan! 

  Almost 90,000 MISSIONARIES- their goal: teach, baptize, activate

  Ward Mission Plan P.M.G. pages 220. A plan=work. If we own the plan, it will motivate. Ward council should pray for investigators by name, go on splits with missionaries. Ward council-> Presidency meetings->Class meetings. Use what you have, we have so much! 

 "Great Scott! I've gone over time! Where'd you get these clocks anyways?"
